Talking A Little About Myself | Livia McQueen ♡

Hello beauties, I feel like I haven't talked a lot about myself. So, today I'll do it and you can get to know me more.
I was born in Turin, Italy, on 18 october 1996 and my parents decided to name me Livia, just because it is easy to pronounce. I have two sisters, one is 3 years younger than me and the other one has 6 years old and she is the cutest child ever! When I was in elementary school I had the best time ever! I recall that I was always playing around with other kids and I had so much fun. Then my life changed when I started to attend middle school. There, I realised that I was different from everyone else. I was, I am, Chinese, so my face drew people's attention and some of them - even though they didn't even know me - offended me with every kind of insult. They seemed to have fun screaming at me and I got so upset that I could not help but stay still and I didn't have the courage to react. Luckily, I had few but precious friends that were always with me a…

Hello beauties!
How are you doing? I hope you are doing well. The weather here is UNBEARABLE. Everyday is a struggle, trying to find the perfect spot in the shade and not to freak out if the sun is burning us alive.
Anyway, today I am going to talk about my favorite beauty products from Sephora!
As most of you already know, Sephora does not only feature products from different beauty brands, but it features its own make up, skincare, and beauty tools too. So, here's a list of what I am in love with!

There's an incredibly wide range of colour choices - in Italy there are just 23 colours, while, in the USA there are 40 - including odd shades like "Sea Mist 30", and "Siren Song 31". Even though I prefer the lip stains, the lip tints are not bad either. Both are affordable, and long lasting (they do tend to fade away a little after meals). They feel super comfortable on the lips, without drying them out. The texture is creamy, and th…

How many times have you felt weak, helpless, and frail? How many times have you been treated disrespectfully for no apparent reason? I have, countless times. And if you are reading this, you probably have too. Did you react? Did you stand up for yourself?

I decided to write this post after having an awful experience with a peer. Let me explain.
I recently worked for about two months with a girl who is the same age as me. In the beginning, I thought she was a pleasant and nice person. After a week, her attitude towards me changed all of a sudden. She began to treat me badly, using harsh manners and talking to me in an aggressive way. She was being really rude, and I didn't have any clue about the reason why. I thought a lot through the possible reasons, unsuccessfully. "What did I do wrong?"
I wanted to talk to her in order to settle the issue. But the worst thing was the fact that I couldn't. Whenever she acted like that, I just stayed silent, with my mouth shut, my …

Hello beauties,
how are you doing? It is already May, and in Turin the weather really sucks... It rains all time and I never get the chance to see a single ray of sun. It puts me in a bad mood, and I feel low in energy. Perhaps I am affected by  the SAD (Seasonal affective disorder) D:?

Anyway, this post isn't about my mood swings, but it's about my current skin treatment for acne. Since July 2016 my face has been covered by a lot of pimples that don't seem to be willing to disappear. So, I got some new products, since the ones that I already had didn't work or just made little or no differences. Finally, I found a great mini kit from Clinique, the "3-Step System" for combination or oily skin type (4).

Basically, the kit is composed of:
1 - a liquid facial soap. It's not drying and it is easy to use. You just apply it on your wet face and massage gently, til it becomes foam. Then, rinse everything off with lukewarm water and pat dry your skin with a towel.…

Hello beauties!
This post is going to be about the one and only Johanna Herrstedt, a popular Swedish social media influencer and model. She was born on August 4th, 1994. She is just two years older than me! With thousands of followers all over the world, Johanna has conquered my heart. I have been following her since 2015. Her beauty gleams from every pore of hers, and her make up looks are STUNNING! If you don't believe me, just check her Instagram profile, or her Youtube videos. She has a blog as well! Oh, I almost forgot to tell you. She has her own line of cosmetics, called HERRSTEDT COSMETICS, which is cruelty-free. Right now, there's only the mascara available.
So, today I am going to go through some of her "faces".

Johanna has naturally beautiful brows, that she defines even more with eyebrow products.
Here, she painted her eyebrows fluorescent pink. Iconic, isn't it? The winged liner, the faux freckles, and the pink blush colour make everything look extre…

Yves Saint Laurent Gloss Volupté Lip Gloss REVIEW ☆

Hello beauties!
Today I am going to talk about a new entry in my make up collection. It's the Gloss Volupté lip gloss by Yves Saint Laurent. It was given to me by my aunt, who is becoming more and more obsessed with make up (hum, this is probably my fault, hehe).

The shade that I have is "106", Cuir Grenat, which is a lovely berry red shade. It is a little shimmery, and it looks AMAZING on the lips. It does not look like the red that you see in the tube, but more pinkish. Whenever I apply this gloss I get a lot of compliments ;D. Basically, I am applying this product almost everyday.
The formula is light, hydrating, not sticky at all, and once applied, it feels super comfortable. You can apply as many layers as you like, building up the colour 'till you are satisfied. The glossy finish makes your lips appear plump and shiny.
The lasting is pretty good too! Even after eating and drinking, the colour stays on, although a little faded. No big deal, you can reapply it ;)…

Maybelline Fit Me! MATTE + PORELESS Foundation REVIEW ☆

Hello beauties!
How are you doing? I hope you are doing great :D!
In Turin, we spent a lot of "rainy" days. Spring seems to have forgotten to pass through this city. However, today the sky is clear. So, fingers crossed :).
Anyway, this post is about the Maybelline Fit Me! MATTE + PORELESS Foundation. I got it about a month ago, and I've never stopped using it since then. The shade is "Buff Beige", 130, but there are other a lot more shades. 24, to be precise.

What it should do: mattifies and refines pores and leaves a natural, seamless finish.
What it actually does: it really mattifies my skin and the overall look is just perfect! Natural, matte, but not dull.

The formula is liquid, and the texture is quite light (my skin is grateful for that). It's a medium coverage foundation, and it is great for oily and combination skin. The matte finish does not last long, so you need to set the product with a powder. My skin gets oily pretty quickly, especially the T-zo…

Hello beauties,
this post is all about how I take off my make up at the end of the day. I strongly believe that this step is super important, because you don't want any trace of foundation, eyeshadow, or mascara left on your face. Before going to bed, your skin has to be clean and moisturized. Basically, I use three different products:

First, I squeeze some of the Garnier cleansing milk onto a cotton pad, and I roughly remove foundation, eyeshadow, and lipstick. The product is gentle, it does a great job on waterproof make up too (such as eyeliner and mascara). It leaves my skin a little "greasy", which is an unpleasant feeling. That is the reason why I never use this sole product in my "taking-off-make-up" routine.

Next, I use this make up remover to get rid of any stubborn "leftovers". I don't always use this product, but I do when the cleansing milk fails to …
