How To Achieve the "Byojaku Face" Look!
The "Byojaku Face" is a trend which has its roots in Japan. It began when, on the cover of "Ranzuki" magazine (which is the most popular magazine among teenagers in Japan), a girl with a sickly face appeared. The aim is to make your face look tired, sick, sad, and melancholic. It's just the opposite of how a girl should look like: fierce, adult-like and seductive. The reason why this trend became a trend is the fact that a teenager with a sickly face is considered cute and she seems to be looking for protection and love. Like so, boys will come in abundance to help you, you who look like a needy young woman.

Well, how to achieve this "Byojaku Face"? Arm yourself with a three - shades lighter foundation, a concealer, falsies, eyebrow pencil and mascara, eyeliner, pink blush and a pink/red lip tint.
If you already have fair skin, lucky you. As a matter of fact, for this look the most important thing is to have pale pale skin, in order to turn into a living zombie (a pretty one, though). I recommend you this foundation from Maybelline in the shade 110 or 115. It is light and not too expensive. It covers pores and it evens out your complexion as well. I think it is the best drugstore foundation ever.
Conceal your flaws, babe! You know, Japanese girls love flawless skin, as a porcelain doll should have.
Use a light concealer, possibly in the same shade as the foundation.
3) COLORED LENSES
Now, this step is optional. Just use them if you wish to make your eyes look bigger. Or use the contact ones if you are short-sighted like me.
4) BLUSH UP!
Catrice Blush in the shade 030
Apply a pink blush on the apples of your cheeks, but very very lightly. It doesn't have to show off too much, Now, this is the crucial step. Since you have to look like you haven't slept for a day, dab the pink colour under your eyes, creating the impression that you have just cried and you rubbed your eyes. If you prefer, you can use a light red eyeshadow (not shimmery, please) instead of the blush. Apply the colour around your eyes as well, for an extra touch. Parfait! You can move on to the next step.
5) LINE YOUR EYES
Maybelline Master Drama Eyepencil
Don't make a dramatic winged eyeliner. Just line your eyes and wing the ends a little. I am currently obsessed with this eyeliner from Maybelline. Love, love, love.
6) FALSE EYELASHES
My favorites, Ardell Falsies
You can apply the falsies now! I know that they are a pain in the a** when it comes to the application, but it's worth it. If you just cannot do it, skip this step. However, remember to apply mascara!

7) EYEBROW GAME
Your eyebrows have to look straight and innocent, not arched and bold. Use a good eyebrow pencil and then fix it with eyebrow gel. My current faves are these ones:

Benefit Gimme Brow Gel
8) CHARMING LIPS
It costs around 30$
Use a lip stain, like the Benetint, and tap it lightly on your lips. Also, make sure there's not too much colour. This way, your lips will appear naturally tinted and lovely.
Well, you are done! So, do you like this look?
